The Business Skills award offers up to £7500 towards training and development that would not normally be available from an employer's ongoing training arrangements. Awards are made based on industry need and are assessed by the Trustees. The award is also open to anyone in full time education wishing to take a qualification which would benefit the utilities industry.

Mike Foster, Chief Executive of EUA and USIT Trustee said “I would encourage anyone who is eligible to make an application to USIT. The process is simple and straight forward and is helping to upskill the workforce working within the utilities sector.”

Applicants will be required to write a supporting paper explaining why they want sponsorship, why they have chosen this particular course and how they expect to benefit from the Award.
